Abstract

The era of electric transportation has begun, and the use of electric transportation is everywhere, such as electric bicycles, electric cars, and electric buses. There is an important component in the transportation of electricity, namely the battery. Because the battery has a vital role, it requires good management in its operation. In this research, an auto-cut-off charging battery has been made which can cut off the battery charging current when the battery charging status (SOC) is 80% so that the battery life can be maintained and can be used longer. This Auto Cut-Off system consists of a SEPIC converter using a PWM fuzzy logic controller and consists of a relay for system breakers. The Auto Cut-off system operation is commanded by the ARMSTM32F407VG microcontroller with the help of a current sensor. The Fuzzy Logic method uses a comparison between the converter output voltage and a predetermined set point so that if the output voltage is insufficient or excessive, the Fuzzy Logic controller can adjust the converter output voltage processing process so that its value is the same as the predetermined value of 57.6 Volts. The auto cut-off relay will work if the current sensor reads the battery current is close to 1 then the relay will work to cut off the charging or charging process that is currently running.
