Abstract

With the development of perinatal medicine, the survival rate of preterm infants has risen these years, and the incidence of bronchopulmonary dysplasia(BPD)has also increased as a result.BPD is a chronic lung disease which is caused by multiple factors, It has complicated etiology and pathogenesis, high mortality early after birth, and high incidence of later adverse outcomes in respiratory and nervous systems, which seriously affect the survival rate and quality of life in preterm infants.This article will summarize the current situation in prevention and treatment of BPD.
