Infection is a problem in biomedical field that leading to implant failure.In this study, the self-ordered formation of nanotubular oxide layers on Ti–30Ta was investigated in order to reducing infection.The anodization process was realized in an electrolyte solution containing 0.2M NH4F at 30V for 6 hours]. The nanotube layer was annealed in an oxygen ambient furnace at 530 ºC (5º C/min) for 1 hour. The Ti-30Ta alloy surface were investigated using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and and X-ray diffractometer (XRD). Staphylococcus aureaus and candida albicans were selected to investigate the bacterial adhesion and biofilm formation. The results indicated that the bacterial response was highly influenced by anodization process on Ti-30Ta alloy with TiO2 nanotube fabrication. Fapesp; Cnpq; Unesp; Unicamp; INct
