Abstract

Hypertension is a leading risk factor for premature mortality worldwide. Patients with true resistant hypertension are exposed to an even greater risk of developing cardiovascular and renal events. However, the accurate estimate of true resistant hypertension is difficult due to pseudo-resistance, therefore the lack of data regarding its prevalence and epidemiology in Malaysia.
