Abstract

Background and aim: Colopathy and rectal varices(RV) are seen in 40-54% and 38-78% of adults with portal hypertension(PHT) and 75% and 94% of children with extrahepatic portal venous obstruction. The aim was to study the prevalence and endoscopic features of RV and colopathy in children with cirrhotic and non-cirrhotic PHT.
