Abstract
The People of Shimla Hills have a typical Pahari culture where the inner religious sense of man is tinged with omens, beliefs in superstitions etc.. The present paper is an anthropological approach to the basic social psychology of the people in Shimla Hills. It is designed to explore the belief system prevalent in Shimla Hills. In particular, prevalence of beliefs regarding superstition, dreams, evil spirits are studied along with other supernatural aspects. Generally the concept of supernatural refers to something unusual and extraordinary. One might not scientifically prove incidences of supernatural, however, it does not imply these experiences are impossible.
