Summary

Introduction

Pre-eclampsia (PE) is an idiopathic disorder of pregnancy characterized by proteinuric hypertension and still one of the most important causes of maternal and fetal mortality. Preeclampsia is a condition during pregnancy where there is a sudden, sharp rise in blood pressure, edema, and albuminuria. It generally develops during the third trimester and affects about 1 in 20 pregnancies [1]. Pre-eclampsia (PE) is an idiopathic disorder of pregnancy, characterized by proteinuric hypertention. It is still one of the important causes of maternal and fetal mortality. Deaths from hemorrhage and infection have almost disappeared and eclampsia has become the prime killer, indicating that death from eclampsia is difficult to prevent
