Abstract

Marking the patient's skin following axial and coronal computed tomography scans of small intracerebral lesions is used as an aid in the presurgical planning for tumor biopsy or craniotomy. The location of the lesion and its depth from the marked site on the scalp can be easily measured. This decreases the biopsy time and the size of the craniotomy flaps.
