Abstract
This paper deals with prestressed hollow-block bearing walls. A linear analysis, consisting in finding the Airy Stress Function is presented. On the basis of the numerical solution of a sufficient number of particular cases, design information is offered in the forms of easily applicable graphs. Laboratory experiments and follow-up on an actual construction showed good agreement between measured values and those predicted by analysis.
