Abstract

The basic advantage of Kirchhoff migration is a possibly easy obtaining dynamic image of geological medium direct from primary field data without CMP stack stage. In conditions of steep curved reflecting boundaries the CMP stack may bring to irreversible distortions of kinematic and dynamic parameters of reflected waves. These distortions cannot be recover on the poststack migration stage. The main cause is that on the first step prestack migration makes a proper migration and stacking is the second step, but in the case of poststack migration all is on the contrary [1]. Prestack migration has particular significance when we solute complex problems in multiwave seismics (mode-conversion technique). In present report an algorithm of prestack Kirchhoff migration for converted reflected waves and based on it an algorithm of migration velocity analysis are considered.
