The seismic processing flow we developed includes high‐resolution velocity analysis, the application of anisotropic moveout corrections, and an automatic gather flattening step. We show applications of the new flow to synthetic data and to a high‐quality prestack time‐migrated data set. The flow results in much flatter gathers, and significantly simplifies AVO interpretation.Permalink: https://doi.org/10.1190/1.1839719FiguresReferencesRelatedDetailsCited ByAVO Analysis Combined With Teager–Kaiser Energy Methods for Hydrocarbon DetectionIEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Letters, Vol. 19Mitigating Velocity Errors in Least-Squares Imaging Using Angle-Dependent Forward and Adjoint Gaussian Beam Operators15 November 2021 | Surveys in Geophysics, Vol. 42, No. 6Angle-domain least-squares Gaussian beam migrationJidong Yang, Jianping Huang, Zhenchun Li, Hejun Zhu, and George McMechan1 September 2021L1-2-norm sparse representation for robust pre-stack gather flatteningZhijun Zhang, Huihuang Tan, and Huailai Zhou30 September 2020Seismic data gather conditioning for prestack seismic data inversionGang Yu, Yusheng Zhang, Ximing Wang, Xing Liang, and Benjing Liu11 December 2018Nonstretching normal-moveout correction using a dynamic time warping algorithmShuangquan Chen, Song Jin, Xiang-Yang Li, and Wuyang Yang29 November 2017 | GEOPHYSICS, Vol. 83, No. 1Seismic data gather conditioning for prestack seismic data inversionGang Yu, Yusheng Zhang, Ximing Wang, Benjing Liu, Xing Liang, Scott Singleton, and Maggie Smith17 August 2017Automatic gather flattening for AVO analysis using amplitude-adjusted plane-wave destruction filtersMason Phillips17 August 2017Seismic data gather conditioning for prestack seismic data inversionGang Yu*, Yusheng Zhang, Ximing Wang, Benjing Liu, Xing Liang, Scott Singleton, and Maggie Smith31 May 20174D AVO INVERSION ENHANCEMENT BY GATHER CONDITIONING USING DYNAMIC TIME-WARPINGAyodeji Babalola*, Fred Hilterman, and Robert, R.
