Abstract

AbstractIn this paper, a prestack depth migration method based on quasi‐linear Born approximation is carried out in frequency‐wavenumber domain and frequency‐space domain, and is used to process common shot gather data of the Marmousi model. Through comparison with the Split‐Step Fourier migration method, Phase‐Screen migration method and the prestack depth migration method with stable Born approximation, it is apparent that the prestack depth migration method based on quasi‐linear Born approximation produces better migration results with improved handling of lateral velocity variations.
