Abstract

Effect of pressure on the electrical resistivity and lattice constant has been studied for three heavy fermion conpounds, CeInCu2, CeCu6 and CeIn3. The resistivity-maximum temperature Tmax increases with increasing pressure associated with the large enhancement of the Kondo temperature TK. This implies that the pressure-induced crossover from the heavy fermion state (low TK) to intermediate valence state (high TK). The crossover occurs without any discontinuous change in volume. These results are discussed briefly taking account of the volume dependence of TK.
