Abstract
Investigations of the Raman spectrum of Cu 3V S 4 under pressure up to 60 kbar show a pronounced enhancement of the linewidth of the A 1 mode around 20 kbar. This anomaly is interpreted in terms of a resonance between the A 1 mode and a double phonon structure arising from the combination of F 2 like zone center phonons.
