Abstract
The effect of pressure on the mobility of excess electrons is reported near the critical temperature for liquid neopentane and tetramethylsilane. Under these conditions unusually large increases in mobility are observed for small pressure increments along isotherms. The results show that the mobility is primarily dependent on density and less on temperature and compressibility.
