Abstract

The magnetization and electrical resistivity of Ce3RuSn6 have been measured in the temperature range from 2 to 300K and in the pressure range up to 1GPa. At ambient pressure, the magnetization shows a ferromagnetic-like steep rise below 4K. The electrical resistivity drops at TC = 3.3K due to the magnetic transition. We found that TC is slightly enhanced by applying pressure, suggesting that this compound sits on the left side of the peak in the Doniach phase diagram.
