Abstract

Pressure effects on the magnetization and Curie temperature for Fe 90− x Ni x Zr 10 amorphous alloys are estimated indirectly from the forced volume magnetostriction. Their behavior against Curie temperature seems to be the same as that for FeNi crystalline Invar alloys. From a discussion of the relation between two pressure effects on the magnetization and Curie temperature, these amorphous alloys are not considered to become homogeneous weak itinerant ferromagnets near T c = 0 in the Fe-rich concentration region.
