Abstract

A critical velocity at which pressure drop kept increasing was observed. Measurements of the chromatographic separation obtained for bovine serum albumin and nickel nitrate were correlated as measurements of height equivalent to a theoretical plate. A scaling procedure which keeps separation, pressure drop, and feed throughput constant was developed for each packing.
