Abstract
Pressure-dependence of dynamical fluctuations of surfactant monolayers of ternary microemulsion systems with an ionic surfactant and a non-ionic surfactant were investigated by neutron spin echo. The bending modulus of surfactant monolayers increased with increasing pressure both in the cases of the ionic surfactant and of the non-ionic surfactant. It is confirmed that the compression of hydrocarbon tails of surfactant is the main origin of pressure-induced phase transitions.
