Abstract
The experimental results from the in situ NMR studies (Bhatia et al., J. Catal. 147 (1994) 455) of hydrogen adsorbed on supported Ru particles, have been interpreted in terms of the pressure-dependent spin-lattice relaxation time T 1 and the Korringa relation. Both the existence of the two proton NMR peaks at pressure greater than 100 Torr and their shifts with pressure up to 760 Torr have been explained qualitatively.
