Abstract
The opportunity to serve as president of an organization of which membership itself is a coveted prize is an extraordinary privilege for which I will always be grateful. Membership in any organization demands participation. This responsibility applies to all of us, and it is only through extensive membership involvement that the Society of University Surgeons (SUS) can achieve the goals on which it was founded.
