Abstract
With the new governance structure approved, inaugural Board elections under way, and the Council converging on and strengthening its position as the unified voice of the membership, this feels like a good time to sit back and marvel at what our Society has accomplished. In actuality, this early stage in implementing the new governance is an opportune time to identify additional benefits that might be garnered through subtle enhancements to the new governance model. “While the iron is hot” is the right time to take a high-resolution look forward, tweak the Society's far-reaching vision, and shore up the excellent ground work already laid. The singular goal: optimally position our Society to effectively capitalize on future global opportunities.
