Essay| October 01 1924 President Roosevelt’s Secret Pact With Japan Tyler Dennett Tyler Dennett Mr. Dennett, who is a lecturer on history at Johns Hopkins University, has for the last eight years devoted himself almost exclusively to the study of the affairs of the Par East, traveling through that part of the world twice. He was in Europe twice during the war and was at the peace conference. As a specialist in diplomatic history he prepared a monograph for the use of the American Commissioners at the Washington Disarmament Conference. Last year he published “Americans in Eastern China,” a critical and historical study, and is now engaged in preparing other works on American diplomatic history, one of which, “Roosevelt and the Russo-Japanese War.” will be published early in 1925.
