Abstract

A Skene’s duct cyst is a rare presentation of an inter-labial mass in the female newborn. The Skene’s glands, which are derived from the urogenital sinus and drain through para-urethral ducts, can secrete a small amount of mucoid material in response to maternal estrogen exposure. Obstruction of ductal drainage leads to cyst formation.
