Abstract

Autogenous bone grafting has been one of the standards of care for mandibular reconstruction for many years. OMF surgeons have utilized small quantities of bone for augmentation of small defects, larger quantities for alveolar cleft repair and large quantities for segmental mandibular reconstruction. With the advent of free hard tissue transfer there has been increasing debate of where each technique is better indicated.
