Presencia y actividades de los "curatores civitatum" en la Bética de los Severos

Abstract

Through this work we propose a new approach on the curatores rei publicae attested in the civic communities of the roman province of Baetica during the Severan period. Using the thorough analysis of their competences by Jacques, the study of the content of the inscriptions where this position is confirmed and the contextualization of their duties in an accurate time frame, we contribute to a new image of curatores rei publicae in colonia Aelia Augusta Italicensium, colonia Genetiva Iulia and colonia Claritas Iulia.
