Abstract
Numerous papers have been produced on Simuliidae (Nematocera, Diptera) of New Guinea and of the Bismarck Archipelago; but, for the Solomon Islands, the only known findings are unpublished ones by Crosskey. These concern 3 different species, 2 of them new, of Simulium , collected on Bougainville Island (R. W. Crosskey, pers. commun., 1969).
