Abstract
Taiwan, among many nations around the globe, is facing aging populations and increased demand for in-home caregivers and nursing facilities for the aged. Specifically, Taiwan is contending with the provision of competent and safe caregivers for the aged. This study examined teaching qualified interprofessionals actively practicing with the aged “how to teach” in a short-term intensive program. A Train the Trainer (TTT) program model was utilized, implemented, and evaluated. Study results established a potential model for the preparation of future caregivers by scaling up interprofessionals to know how to teach.
