Abstract

Abstract Preparing for a methadone program accreditation can be an arduous task. In this article three technical assistance documents are presented to assist program administrators to prepare for a methadone program accreditation survey. The technical assistance documents include a six month accreditation work plan, an accreditation documentation checklist, and a self-assessment checklist. These tools are time and trial tested and should prove useful to program administrators and those directly involved with preparing for an accreditation survey. Each of these documents are preceded by instructions regarding their use. All of these documents can be adjusted to accommodate the needs of a particular program.
