Abstract

Modified silica gel is a promising adsorbent for preparative chromatography. The deviation of actual peaks from the theoretical Gaussian peaks have been investigated. The symmetry of the peaks is discussed as a function of the carrier gas velocity. The isolation of a number of hydrocarbons by preparative gas solid adsorption chromatography is described.
