Abstract

A storage ring with electron cooling for medium-energy light ions has been completed at the Indiana University Cyclotron Facility. At the present time, the machine is being commissioned for experiments in nuclear, atomic and accelerator physics. We review the current status of the storage ring, the research program and the preparations for the first round of experiments.
