Abstract

Cu- or Ag-containing ternary chalcogenides (Cu 2SnS 3, Cu 2SnSe 4, Ag 8SnS 6, and Ag 8SnSe 6) were prepared through a one-step solvothermal process in the temperature range of 150– 190°C. Three kinds of tin sources were investigated by changing the molar ratio, reaction time, and temperature. Powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), scanning electronic microscopy (SEM), and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) were used to characterize the products.
