Abstract

Silver nanorods have been prepared by an electrochemical technique from an aqueous solution of AgNO 3 in the presence of polyethylene glycol (PEG). The silver nanorods were characterized by using transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, and absorption spectroscopy. It was found that the concentration of AgNO 3 and PEG affected the formation of the nanorods.
