Abstract

As a new type of self-healing material, room-temperature liquid metal (RLM) composed of Ga, In, Sn is a promising anode in lithium-ion batteries (LIBs). However it is difficult to prepare an electrode slurry with pure RLM directly. Here, a simple high-speed stirring method successfully prepared the RLM electrode slurry. The RLM in the slurry evenly distributed in the form of liquid particles, and no aggregation occurred. The stable discharge specific capacity of RLM is 350 mAh g−1. Electrochemical tests show that RLM electrodes have excellent cycle stability and reversible capacity retention rate at different current densities.
