Abstract

In the present study, a simple one-step method was introduced for rGO -TiO2 composite synthesis. The Composite was used for the adsorption of Methylene blue (MB) from aqueous solutions. Composite was characterized by XRD, FTIR, Raman Spectroscopy and SEM. The influence of dye initial concentration, temperature and time dependence on adsorption of MB onto rGO-TiO2 was investigated. Equilibrium data were analyzed by model equations such as Langmuir isotherm and Freundlich isotherm and were best represented by Langmuir isotherm model. Kinetic adsorption data were analyzed using the pseudo-first-order kinetic model, the pseudo-second-order kinetic model and the intra-particle diffusion model. Thermodynamics parameters were calculated, indicating that the adsorption of MB onto rGO-TiO2 was a spontaneous and endothermic process
