Abstract

Poly(vinyl ester resin-co-methyl methacrylate) monoliths have been prepared by atom transfer radical polymerization.Morphology of monolithic materials was studied by scanning electronic microscopy.Chemical groups of the monolith were assayed by infrared spectra method and the pore size distribution was determined by a mercury porosimeter. The monolith was used to separate IgG from human plasma successfully by HPLC.Moreover, the monolith also used to separate the mixture of α-amylasa,lysozyme,snailase and papain. The results showed the prepared monoliths by living/control radical polymerization have uniform structure, good permeability and easy obtained. So the living/control radical polymerization is a simple, convenient, efficient and cheap method for the preparation of polymeric monoliths.
