Abstract
Tetraethylammonium difluoroiodate(I), [NEt 4][IF 2], is prepared by direct reaction of iodine monofluoride and tetraethylammonium fluoride. 19F NMR, IR and Raman spectra are described. The spectroscopic data are consistent with D ∞ h symmetry of the anion.
