Abstract

Solid or film-state NIR emission is still challenging despite high demand for optical communication and bioimaging. In article number 2000566, Kazuo Tanaka and co-workers report azobenzene complexes with the perpendicularly protruded aryl derivative at the boron atom toward π-conjugated system effectively can suppress intermolecular interaction. This system provides highly efficient NIR-emission in film.
