Abstract

We studied the superconducting properties of c-axis oriented NdBa2Cu3Ox (Nd123) thin films prepared using the pulsed laser deposition technique. Films with highest critical temperature of 93 K and irreversibility field of 8 T at 77.3 K were successfully grown in an atmosphere of rather high oxygen pressure, 1.5 mbar. The pinning potentials of the films were estimated based on the thermally assisted flux flow model.
