Abstract

hybridomas which secrete monoclonal antibodies (MAbs) against Infectious laryngotracheitis virus (ILTV) were produced. The hybrid cells resulted from fusion of P3X63- Ag8.653 myeloma cells with splenocytes of Balb/c mice which had been immunized with purified ILTV. After immunization the humoral immune response to immunizations was assessed by ELISA using purified ILTV as the target. Screening of supernatant fluids after cell fusion was performed by an indirect enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). The results indicated that the obtained (MAbs) against ILTV were of high specificity and with ambient concentration that would be useful as a tool for diagnosis and identification of ILT virus.
