Reactions of Sn(OR) 2 compounds (R = CH 3 ▪CCOCH 3, CH 3 ▪CHCO 2Et, Ph ▪CHCOPh, and o-C 6H 4CO 2Et) with n-alkyl iodides, R′I (R′ = Me, Et, n-Bu), gave Sn IV compounds to type R′Sn(OR) 2I.
