Abstract

Light-weight gypsum-based walling materials were prepared with addition of large amount of fly ash and calcium carbide sludge. The mechnical properties of the sample with different amount of fly ash and calcium carbide sludge and various ages were studied. Porous structure of the sample was analysed. And its humidity-performance were investigated. Results showed that the amount of fly ash and calcium carbide sludge and various ages had obvious effect on the mechnical properties of the sample. The pore structure of the sample was improved by use of the composite foamed process. The block sample of the cementitious material has excellent humidity-controlled performance.
