Abstract
In this work, lead and tin oxide films (PbxOy/SnO2) were prepared, using the spin coating technique. The influence of the temperature and duration of the thermal treatment on the final film composition were analysed. The metallic oxide films that were prepared, PbxOy/SnO2, were characterized by means of XRD, SEM/EDS and cyclic voltammetry. When different experimental preparation conditions were used different lead oxide phases were obtained. The electrochemical studies show that the films are stable and can be used as electrodes. Finally the films were tested as electrodes for the electrochemical degradation of a CHCl3 aqueous solution.
