Abstract

In this study, superconducting La1.89Ce0.11CuO4 (LCCO) films are prepared by sol-gel method using the steady LCCO solution with methanol sols and lanthanum nitrate and cerium nitrate as starting materials. XRD results demonstrate low-intensity diffraction peaks of LCCO film with poor crystallinity below a heat treatment temperature of 625 °C. The prepared film shows an excellent superconducting (00l)-T′ phase at 650 °C, and the diffraction peak of the non-superconducting (00l)-T phase is evident at a temperature higher than 700 °C. In addition, the effects of heat treatment and water vapor on the structure and electrical properties of LCCO films are also observed. Finally, the superconducting LCCO film with electrical properties of 26 K is obtained by a mixture of nitrogen-oxygen gas, followed by pure nitrogen at 650 °C.
