Abstract
The hydrophobic polymer film, polyethylene (PE) grafted with maleic anhydride (MA) could be prepared by γ-irradiation radical reaction. The grafting of MA onto PE was performed by a γ-ray irradiation. The effects of grafting were studied with different kinds of maleic anhydride, reaction a dosage of γ- ray irradiation. The modified polymer film has been characterized by fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA).
