Abstract

Intermacromolecular complexation occurring among the macromolecules with complementary structure through the secondary binding forces,e.g.Coulomb forces, hydrogen bonding, van der Waals forces, charge transfer interactions etc.,is an effective supermolecular method for preparation and property enhancing of polymer materials. This paper summarizes our research work on intermolecular complexation in recent years,e.g.,realizing the thermal processing of PVA and developing a series of novel PVA products with high performance, preparing novel halogen free flame retardant, controlling the crystalline structure of POM and effectively improving its notched impact properties and friction and wear properties, etc.
