Abstract

Catalysts obtained from untreated and treated with modifiers of TsVM-type domestic zeolite were used in the conversion of methanol into high-octane components of gasoline. The modifiers applied were zinc oxide and an aqueous solution of tetrapropylammonium hydroxide. The induction period observed for the catalyst sample modified with alkali was removed by the addition of zinc oxide. Methanol decomposition into carbon monoxide and hydrogen is considered.
