Abstract

ABSTRACT In the present study, green -stretchable ‎ hydrogels based on succinic acid were prepared. Green monomers based on bio-acid were identified using the compression reaction between an acidic group and an alcoholic group and using 1H NMR and FT-IR. The results showed the preparation of flexible stretchable hydrogel with high swelling capacity (7050%) and suitable rheological behavior. The surface morphology and antibacterial behavior of hydrogels were also investigated through SEM and optical density methods, respectively. Examining the results of these tests confirmed the preparation of hydrogel with suitable porosity for biomedical applications and favorable antibacterial properties (Antibacterial efficiency > 77%).
