Abstract

A well-organized, single step, tetramethyl guanidine catalyzed, three-component construction of 5H-chromen-5-one has been established. A variety substrate, together with aromatic, fused aromatic and heterocyclic carbonyl aldehydes, were reacted with CH initiated substrates to give the anticipated derivatives in good yields. This technique affords an ecological another approach to quick fabrication of a diversity-oriented 5H-chromen-5-one. The constructed molecules were confirmed by IR, NMR (1H, and 13C) spectra.
