Abstract

AbstractThis study investigates the influence of different ionic liquids (ILs) based on tetraalkyl‐phosphonium cations on the dynamic‐mechanical, ionic conductivity as well as morphology of epoxy resin based on diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A cured with poly(propyleneglycol) bis(2‐aminopropyl ether), aiming to develop new thermosetting systems with confined ionic liquid. The ionic liquids include trihexyl(tetradecyl)‐phosphoniumdicyanamide, trihexyl(tetradecyl) phosphonium‐bis(trifluoromethane‐sulfonyl)imide) and tributyl(tetradecyl) phosphonium‐dodecylbenzenesulfonate. The effect of these ILs on the morphology, dynamic‐mechanical, ionic conductivity and tensile properties of DGEBA networks is investigated.
